'Respect for Difference'
A Resource for Teachers and Trainers. Suicide Prevention Program for young same sex attracted people.
This document provides both a brief report on the 'Don't Take Your Life - Celebrate It' initiative and a resource developed within the project. The aim is to inform, encourage and inspire teachers and those involved in general training in the community, to engage with the issues of same sex atraction. While this is a key focus of the resource it also attends to other factors of difference which result in the harassment and exclusion of individuals and groups in our community. The goal of this resource is to enhance the safety of school environments and the wider community. The basis is the belief that this is best achieved by promoting social inclusion which is the strongest protective factor in suicide prevention.

Student Well Being and Cultural Diversity Project
The student wellbeing and culturally diversity project focuses on building relationships and connections between young people and their school, embracing cultural and linguistical diversity, and promotion of mental health and resilience. Schools play a key role in providing safe and supportive environments for students. As the principle source of contact between refugee families and their new society, schools have an important role in making the settlement experience of children, and young people a positive one, and in assisting them in all developmental phases.
